Bachelor of Journalism and Political Science
I made the most of my bachelor’s degree, completing two internships in the field, a six-month Erasmus+ study stay, participating in research projects (exit polls, testing a social media research app, annotating disinformation articles), and actively engaging in several student organizations.
In Political Science, I focused on political marketing and electoral studies. Elections became a true celebration for me, often spent watching coverage with my laptop in hand. I also fell in love with the topics of propaganda and disinformation. Alongside my involvement in Zvol si info,, which I continue to lead, my classmates and I created the educational escape game Fakescape, teaching primary and secondary school students to recognize fake news. After achieving success in the international P2P Facebook Global Digital Challenge, I presented the project on DVTV.
In Journalism, I concentrated primarily on audio production. I completed a three-month internship in the news department of Czech Radio Brno, covering topics like transportation, healthcare, and culture. I gained insight into newsroom routines and learned the basics of audio editing. My bachelor’s thesis was a radio documentary for Czech Radio’s Radio Wave. Later, I completed another internship at the PR agency Slash PR in Brno.
During my Erasmus+ study stay in Freiburg, the greenest city in Europe, I improved my language skills (English and German), gained independence, and learned about different cultures and myself. I returned with countless memories and friendships. Afterward, I stayed connected with the Erasmus community, actively participating in the Erasmus Student Network (ESN). I started as a Buddy (providing direct support to international students), became an Active Member (organizing events), and later joined the Board. As a Local Representative, I represented Masaryk University’s section on a national and international level. I remain connected with the organization as a member of its Audit Committee.
